“After my son Ethan was born, I was worried that the tile floors in our home would be too rough on his knees,” said Marina Westerdahl, creator of Comfy Crawlers and founder of Gissy Bella LLC. “I couldn’t find any pants that provided cushion on the knees so I decided to sew him a pair myself.”

Westerdahl found them so useful and practical that she made him several pairs, and it wasn’t long before her neighbors took notice of the stylish pants and were putting in orders for themselves.

“They were an instant hit!,” said Westerdahl. “Moms in my neighborhood fell in love with the pants and it wasn’t long before I had more orders than I had time to make.”

In May of 2006, after three months and lots of hard work, Marina formally launched her company, Gissy Bella LLC (named after her daughter Giselle Bella), and trademarked the name Comfy Crawlers for her unique padded crawling pants for babies. Gissy Bella now offers a commissioned compensation plan for independent mom representatives around the country.
