High Sierra Announces Acquisition of Brand Name Trademark from European Company

VERNON HILLS, IL – High Sierra Sport Company today announced that it acquired the official European trademark in a few remaining countries of the company’s self-titled brand name (High Sierra Sport Company) from IIC- INTERSPORT International Corporation/ INTERSPORT-Group, enabling High Sierra to sell its products in all European markets.

“High Sierra is a private, family-owned organization that has made a tremendous impact on the industry for 30 years,” said Hank Bernbaum, president of High Sierra Sport Company. “As a result of the purchase, High Sierra Sport Company is now officially an international company and brand name.” Purchase price of the sale is undisclosed.

High Sierra Sport Company—a leading manufacturer of soft-sided bags and luggage— plans to expand selling in those European markets affected by the acquisition in the very near future. Research indicates that many consumers are eager to experience the High Sierra brand in Europe.
