Bucharest, May 24, 2007 – AXIGEN (http://www.axigen.com), the professional messaging solution vendor, announced today the release of AXIGEN Mail Sever 4.0 Beta. Having time management and mobility needs in mind, version 4.0 comes with a Personal Organizer module available from both AXIGEN’s WebMail interface and the email client Outlook. The new version is mainly focused on planning and scheduling requirements of both companies relying on their own mail server and those having their messaging needs taken care of by ISPs. The Personal Organizer is therefore available for both Business and ISP Editions of AXIGEN and comprises tools such as calendar, tasks, journal, notes and collaborative support.
The new time management tools are based on an enhanced communication of the AXIGEN Mail Server with email client Outlook, implementing most Exchange-like features, including server-side Search Folders (e.g. Unread Messages, Large Messages) which allow users to easily locate messages on various filters. Moreover, new folders can now be created directly on the server directly when using Outlook.
"Our main focus is to enhance mobility and efficiency in corporate environments, thus, starting with version 4.0, all Outlook options are smoothly correlated with AXIGEN’s WebMail interface. In our efforts to permanently adapt AXIGEN to current business demands, the development roadmap targets expanding the Outlook-WebMail synchronization to comprise address books and contacts," stated Oana Bornaz, AXIGEN CEO
The beta testing campaign will last for approximately 2 weeks. All AXIGEN Mail Server friends are hereby invited to join the beta testing community and experience the new features first hand.
