Nevada City, CA – May 23, 2007– Mini Mania, Inc.(tm), the market leader in distributing and manufacturing lifestyle products and high quality performance aftermarket parts for the "classic" Mini(tm) and BMW MINI Cooper(tm) automobiles announced today that a portion of funds generated at Nevada City Adventure 2007 on Saturday, June 2nd will be donated to two local charities. The local Red Cross chapter will receive funds generated by the raffle ticket sales and the table-top slot car race donations. Barbecue and ice cream donations will be going to the youth group at Sierra Presbyterian Church in Nevada City to raise money for trips planned for this summer.
“We are glad to lend a hand to charities in this area and do our part to contribute to the foothills community,” said Don Racine, Owner of Mini Mania. “People drive here from all over Northern California & Nevada to participate in the NCA event every year, and this year we are expecting over 100 Minis to be on display in our lot and exhibit areas, so these charities should see some solid donations.”
NCA 2007 runs from 8am to 4pm this year and includes activities such as Do-It-Yourself workshops, a Gold Country Historic Motoring Tour and a Swap Meet with tables filled with used parts and accessories for all kinds of Minis. There will also be two major Mini parts giveaways worth thousands of dollars: a Stage 2 Kit new MINI owners and an aluminum cylinder head for classic Mini owners.
