Dr. Edward C. Pino Named Cambridge Who’s Who Executive of the Year in Educational Administration

Parker, CO. May 23, 2007– Cambridge Who’s Who names Dr. Edward C. Pino, Founder and President of the Institute for Graduate Studies Executive of the Year in Educational Administration. While inclusion in Cambridge Who’s Who Registry is an honor, only one member in each discipline is named the Cambridge Who’s Who Executive of the Year. The Cambridge Who’s Who selection committee hand picks these special Who’s Who honorees based on their accomplishments, academic achievement, leadership and service. Pino has 57 years of experience as an elementary, junior high school, community college and university level teacher and administrator. He has held the positions of Assistant Principal, Principal (Elementary and Secondary), Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent of Schools for 20 years in four states, the Far East and in Europe. Institute for Graduate Studies is dedicated to developing and conducting innovative graduate study programs of high quality and scholarship. Over the last 35 years IGS has enrolled more than 20,000 graduate students in study programs in Wisconsin and over 70,000 students in a total of 39 states nationwide.
Pino is an alumnus of Michigan State University, George Washington University, Harvard University, Stanford University and American University with specialties in psychology, curriculum, school management and religious education. Pino completed post-doctoral studies and lectured in comparative studies at Oxford University in 1995. In 1996, he spent a month in Antarctica studying research techniques at the Bellinghausen Russian research station. He is listed in Who's Who in America, was the winner of the AASA Distinguished Professor Award and was inducted into The Oxford Society of Scholars. He has authored several audio/video training programs and 43 books and booklets, including a micro-based instructional and management system entitled Basic Skills for Quality Teaching. His latest two books are Remaking Our Schools (2000) and Dynamic Inaction (1994). Pino is an internationally known consultant on a variety of topics.
