Raleigh, NC- The Capital City Club’s Young Executives will participate in the 11th annual Susan G. Komen Triangle Race for the Cure on June 9 at Meredith College. The Young Executives have formed a team that includes other Capital City Club members and are raising money for the Komen foundation “We are very proud to be participating in this event for a second year,” said Steven Nelson, Philanthropic Chair for the Young Executives and Realtor with the Ida Terbet Team at Keller Williams. “Since many members have had an experience with a family member or friend and breast cancer, it is a natural fit that we should participate in the event.”
The NC Triangle Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is dedicated to creating a world without breast cancer. The Komen for the Cure promise is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality of care for all and energizing science to find the cures.
Those interested in participating as a member of the Capital City Club and Young Executives team, or making a contribution to the Susan G. Komen foundation can contact Steven Nelson at swnelson1968@yahoo.com.
The Young Executives seek to promote young member involvement in the Capital City Club by sponsoring events and serving as ambassadors of the Capital City Club to prospective members and the community.
