WARE MALCOMB AWARDED DESIGN OF
JCPENNEY LOGISTICS CENTER RENOVATION PROJECT

(May 2007) Lathrop, California – Ware Malcomb is a national design firm offering planning, architecture, interior design, graphic design and site development services to commercial real estate clients throughout the United States and Mexico. The firm’s Northern California office is proud to announce that it has been awarded the design of a 440,000 square foot renovation/addition project at an existing building that will be home to JCPenney’s new logistics facility, located at 700 D’Arcy in Lathrop, California, in the Crossroads Commerce Center.

Ware Malcomb is providing architectural and interior design services for this project, which includes renovations to the existing 440,000 square foot building, including 12,500 square feet of office tenant improvements and a 4,400 square foot warehouse addition. The warehouse is being designed to include a fully automated sortation system. The Lathrop facility’s primary function will be to receive and sort imported merchandise for routing to JCPenney’s store distribution hubs across the country.

The General Contractor for the project J.M. O’Neill based in Pleasanton, California. Construction is expected to be complete by August 2007.
