SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 21, 2007) – Real Options for City Kids (ROCK), AngelPoints, Inc. and The Go Game partner to host Go for Good, a corporate urban adventure challenge benefiting ROCK on Saturday, May 19th, 2007 in San Francisco. Corporate teams from around the Bay Area, such as Joie de Vivre Hospitality, will compete head to head in a high-tech scavenger hunt throughout the streets of San Francisco. Armed with a video-capable cell phone and a digital camera, teams will be tasked to complete missions and riddles, some of which involve the children of ROCK, and take pictures as proof of their accomplishments. At the end of the day, voting will take place based on the digital proofs (creativity counts) and a winner will be declared.
“This partnership is a win not only for our clients, but for many corporations across various industries”, said Andrew Mercy, CEO of AngelPoints, Inc. “It provides three ingredients central to their community involvement strategies – support for an important cause, team-building and fun —- plus it adds a healthy does of competition. This event will be a terrific entry point for employees who want to get more involved in the community.”
Go for Good will bring together a wide range of Bay Area corporations and will provide a forum for team-building, good will in the community and networking. At the conclusion of the event, corporations will have the opportunity to not only learn about one another, but to speak with the children involved in ROCK’s programs. Curt Yagi, Executive Director of ROCK said, “We wanted to provide a forum to expose corporations to San Francisco’s youth and feel this is the perfect opportunity.”
Go for Good costs $5,000 per corporation and includes 2 teams of up to 8 people each. Admission includes T-Shirts, banquet and media opportunities. To learn more, visit www.rocksf.org/goforgood.htm or contact Executive Director, Curt Yagi at (415) 333-4001 ext 1# or curt@rocksf.org.
