For many years, the Hager Companies has provided financial support to the Foundation for the Advancement of Life Safety and Security. The company’s contribution underscores its continued commitment to St. Louis area schools and businesses. Support for this initiative helped fund a new program for Head Start centers, creation of school safety and security guidelines for K-12 and college campuses and a related educational program for fire officials.According to James Tartre, CDC and President of the Foundation, schools are of particular interest because there is so much good that can be done to help provide a safe and secure learning environment for students. “The Hager Companies have been long-time supporters of our efforts for which we are most grateful,” he said.
“At the Foundation, we continue to be actively engaged in creating awareness with public officials on the important role the door and hardware industry play in security and safety efforts,” said Tartre. “The Hager’s have been instrumental in helping us relay that message through the education and good works we provide in local communities.”
“Through our support of this national foundation,” said Warren Hager, Group Vice President of Sales, “we are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all school-aged children and area business owners.”
Hager underscored the Foundation’s mission to create an awareness of safety and security issues, and ultimately, take action in an effort to foster a safe and secure environment for students and building occupants across the country. “At Hager, we consider it a part of our social responsibility to determine what we can do to help make this initiative a viable one,” he said.
The Foundation for the Advancement of Life Safety and Security is a charitable organization that exists to create a safer built environment by informing interested parties, through education, research and community projects, the important role that doors play in security and life safety in all buildings, every day.
