Perry Homes opens in new Friendswood community – West Ranch

Perry Homes in West Ranch offers homes surrounded by the natural beauty and charm of Friendswood. The new community will feature acres of green space, parks, trails and family amenities.

The home features a brick front porch and a Hill Country stone-and-brick elevation. Hardwood floors are highlighted in the formal living and dining rooms. West Ranch is a 766-acre master-planned community located on both sides of FM 518 between Bay Area Boulevard and FM 528. The community, bordered by Centennial Park and Chigger and Clear creeks, is home to more than 60 acres of planned parks and green space, 110 acres of walking trails and a proposed 23-acre commercial town center.

The West Ranch Homeowners Association will maintain a variety of amenities, including a recreation center set to open this summer. The center will include an array of features, such as a resort-style swimming pool, cabanas, a barbecue grill and an adjacent children’s playground.

A second recreation center with a clubhouse, a junior Olympic-size pool and a playground is also proposed.

The community’s planned parks and green space include natural retreats mixed with landscaped and maintained areas, including a network of nature trails connecting to nearby Centennial Park. A fishing pier along the shore of Clear Creek is slated to open later this year.

Students in West Ranch will attend Friendswood Independent School District schools. The district is rated “Recognized” for 2006 by the Texas Education Agency, with “Recognized” and “Exemplary” campuses. Current plans call for a new junior high and elementary school to be located within the community.
