CARY, N.C. – Michael G. Carlton, president of Crescent State Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Crescent Financial Corporation, (NASDAQ Global MarketSM), has announced that Michael A. Ray has joined the bank as eastern Wake community executive. In this position, Ray will be responsible for generating new commercial business and developing relationships with the community on behalf of Crescent State Bank. Ray earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He holds 13 years of banking experience and is the associate vice president of the Franklin County Home Builders Association. A native of Knightdale, N.C. and a member of the town’s Faith Baptist Church, Ray resides in Wake Forest.
