SafeGuard Guaranty Names Ken Fries EVP of Distribution & Strategic Alliances

Apex, NC — SafeGuard Guaranty Corporation, soon to be the first company in the world to offer Marriage Assurancesm, today announced that Kenneth M. Fries has joined SafeGuard as Executive Vice President of Distribution & Strategic Alliances. SafeGuard’s ground breaking insurance based offering is focused on ensuring the financial wellbeing of successful marriages in the form of wealth creation and preventing the financial devastation so often caused by divorce.

Mr. Fries brings 25 years of insurance expertise to SafeGuard, including a wealth of experience leading web and e-business development initiatives in support of innovative distribution channel strategies for world renowned insurance companies.

Most recently, Mr. Fries was Assistant Vice President at MassMutual Financial Group’s Annuity Division in Enfield, CT, where as a member of the senior management team he led the Program Management Office for MassMutual’s Annuity business. Previously, during his tenure at The Hartford Financial Services Group, as Assistant Vice President of Agency Strategy, e-Business & Technology, he managed the strategic relationships with critical distribution channel vendors and industry association partners to gain competitive advantage in the marketplace for The Hartford’s independent agents, brokers and MGAs. Mr. Fries also spent several years with Aetna Life & Casualty during the 80’s, and was subsequently bitten by the entrepreneurial bug becoming a successful independent agent in the early 90’s. Mr. Fries holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Harford in West Hartford, CT.
