ELDRED, PA - The Eldred World War II Museum and Learning Center, located at 201 Main Street, Eldred, PA, will host three special events during the Memorial Day Weekend.Saturday, May 26 at 2:00 pm
The new DVD Silent Wings: the American Glider Pilots of WWII will have a public screening. The video is narrated by Hal Holbrook along with commentary by Andy Rooney and Walter Cronkite. Additional information about the DVD can be found at www.silentwings.com.

Guest Speakers Col. David Glantz and Col. George Qua will speak.
Col. Glantz is a military historian who has served on the faculty of the United States Military Academy, The Combat Studies Institute and the U.S. Army War College. His field service included field artillery assignments with the 24th Infantry Division (Mechanized) in Europe and II Field Force artillery in Vietnam. He also served Intelligence assignments with the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence in the US Army Europe. Col. Glantz is a noted author and recognized as one of America’s leading scholars on the Eastern Front during World War II.
Col. Qua was recently recognized as the Outstanding Veteran in the Cleveland, OH area. His service has been accompanied by a steady support of Veterans in his business and charitable work. Col. Qua has served as a Special Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and also as a Military analyst for ABC, NBC, FOX and United Artist television affiliates in the Cleveland area.
Memorial Day, Monday May 28 at 2:00 pm
A Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony will be held at the Museum. The ceremony will feature our guest speakers and a Time of Remembrance. The public is invited to submit names for the Time of Remembrance. All names of deceased military personnel which are submitted will be read during the ceremony.
