The Independent film, “Art of Suicide” is now complete and hosting special test screenings in Atlanta Ga. The film’s producers are preparing for film festival submission and ultimately looking to acquire distribution. Inspired on true events, independent filmmaker Brent Brooks used his father’s inheritance to produce the film and an Atlanta based cast & crew to direct it. The film boasts a fantastic list of relative un-discovered Atlanta actors, terrific music and locations from Athens, (home to R.E.M.) and audio mastered by TBS.

"Art of Suicide" is the story of four artists living and working at White Hall Studios, home and hang-out to a band of bohemians and their dreams. This eclectic group of young, struggling artists strive for success and test how far they're willing to go and get it. It's about the relative strength and delicacy of relationships — how far they bend, and how far they should be bent.

"The feature-length film shot in Athens Georgia, Art of Suicide, show some of the best performances seen in the Atlanta acting community. The Director did a wonderful job, staying true to life and capturing very real emotions from his artists. The characters are so believable that it makes one think we are peeking in on very private moments in these people’s lives. At no time did I find myself drifting out of the story and watching the performers "act". Although the film deals with a very intense and disturbing subject matter, it also balances itself out with a redeeming story line. We grow to like and relate to each character’s quirky traits, and understand their points of view. I found the film truly engrossing and entertaining. I am anxious to see what this director does next." ~Byron Erwin, director of Lynch Mob
