Savannah Country Day Hosts Inaugural Alumni Art Exhibition

(Savannah Country Day School, Savannah, Ga.) Friday May 4th, Savannah Country Day School launched its inaugural Alumni Art Exhibition. Featuring original paintings, sculpture, and photography by thirteen Savannah Country Day alumni, the exhibition will run through June 1st.Featured artists include Peter Daniel (02), Andrew Feiler (80), Chip Goldsmith (74), Ragan Howard Lee (97), Jack Leigh (67), Rosalie Morris (99), Blanche Nettles Powers (84), Kacey Jones Ratterree (72), Lisa Robinson (86), Nancy Lebey Solana (72), Cathy Edel Solomons (74), Delia Solomons (02), Dickey Stone (62).
Chaired by Dannah Bonnell and Kacey Jones Ratterree (72), the 2007 Alumni Art Exhibition is the first of its kind for Savannah Country Day School. Of the exhibition, Headmaster Tom Bonnell states, "The marvelous work on display in this exhibition is a testament to the strength of the fine arts department at Savannah Country Day". [Art instructors] Sharon Eswine, Kay Godawa, Ann Jones, and Ragan Lee have done an incredible job cultivating the talent of so many of our students. "It's a great pleasure to see Country Day artists continue to pursue their love of art. That love is certainly evident in the work displayed in this show."
The Alumni Art Exhibition will run through June 1st. The works are on display in the atrium of the new Nina Anderson Pape Middle School Building. Visiting hours are from 8 a.m. — 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
