May 17, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Lifestyle News
Christ's Church of the Valley is reaching out and serving homeless shelters in downtown Phoenix. Volunteers within the church will provide meals, clothing, personal kits and haircuts to over 800 men, women and children. In order to accomplish this, CCV will host a food and clothing drive on Memorial weekend, May 26-27. Donated clothing items needed include new or gently used men’s and women's business casual clothing, preferably slacks and collared shirts; new or gently used children’s clothing; new undergarments for men, women and children; and new or gently used hats. Donated shoes will not be accepted for this particular project.
Donated food items needed include canned tuna; canned fruits and vegetables; peanut butter; rice, cereal, pasta and beans; plastic bottles of juice; and baby items such as diapers, baby wipes, powdered infant formula, and baby cereal.
Be part of something bigger than yourself. We need your help to make this project successful.
