EDISON, N.J., May 2007 – Teseq Inc., a leading developer and provider of instrumentation and test systems for EMC emission and immunity, has now received an expanded calibration accreditation from the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), which allows it to perform accredited calibrations to a much broader range of standards for automotive immunity, electrical fast transient (EFT) and surge generators.
The expanded scope of accredited calibration services now includes automotive transient generators to ISO 7637-2 and other standards such as GR 1089 CORE, ANSI C37.90, IEC 61000-4-9, IEC 61000-4-12, ANSI C62.41, UL1449, ISO7637-2, and ITU Rec K.17, K.20, K.21. Teseq can now also provide calibrations for DC voltage and current, AC voltage and current, resistance and frequency. Other accredited calibration services already provided by Teseq include electrostatic-discharge (ESD) simulators, EFT/burst generators, surge generators and power quality (PQT) generators.
Teseq is the only pulsed immunity manufacturer with an accredited calibration lab in North America. Its Edison, N.J. lab was certified to ISO/IEC 17025:2005, General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories in March 2006. To qualify for an expanded scope of accreditation, Teseq provided A2LA with thorough documentation of the technical and operating procedures it would follow to perform the new services. A2LA also performed an onsite assessment and observed testing.
A2LA is a nonprofit, non-governmental, public service, membership society. The mission of A2LA is to provide comprehensive services in laboratory accreditation and laboratory-related training. Services are available to any type of organization, be it private or government. Laboratory accreditation is based on internationally accepted criteria for competence (ISO/IEC 17025:2005).
