SEATTLE/SAN FRANCISCO — May 2007 — Green Life Pixels [http://www.greenlifepixels.com], the world’s first green pixel site to both promote and raise funds for sustainability, announced today that it will feature environmental artist Susan Cohen Thompson in the May issue of The Green Page eNews. Susan’s body of work includes an illuminating series of oil and watercolor paintings which embody her deep-rooted connection to earth, inspired in part by visits to the Amazon Jungle and the spiritual relationship she established with the Shuar Indians. Her latest series, Forest Paintings, was further inspired by the magnificent trees of the Northwest U.S. and British Columbia regions. The collection will be on exhibit in Studio Number 15, as part of The 9th Annual Camano Island Studio Tour May 11-13th. The self-guided event is free.

Beginning May 10th, Forest Paintings will be permanently showcased in the feature gallery at: http://www.greenlifepixels.com. To view all of Susan’s Earth Honoring Paintings or to visit her Washington-based studio go to: http://www.art4earth.com

“Susan is a true steward of the earth. Her art gracefully flows through the clutter of human conditioning, direct to the heart and soul of our being,” said Marie Gunter, Founder, GreenLifePixels. Through a profound realization of her own true nature, Susan pinpoints and visually transports us to what I call the ‘quiet awe’ moment - that precise juncture where a perceived division between humankind and nature dissolves.”

"It's important for us to look into nature, to recognize ourselves as an integral part of the larger environment," said Dean Mello, Founder GreenLifePixels. Susan's art is informed on that level and we are delighted to have an opportunity to showcase her collection.”
