Danse Etoile Ballet to Present “Soirée: An Evening Celebrating Dance and Music” on June 8-10 in Boulder

Danse Etoile Ballet (www.danseetoile.org), the non-profit dance and performing arts company for talented young dancers, musicians and actors, will present a new program of performances entitled “Soirée: An Evening Celebrating Dance and Music” on June 8, 9 and 10 at The Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder. The program will include new works by Danse Etoile Artistic Director Marie-Jose Payannet, as well as classical repertoire ballet and guest performances from Irish dancers, musicians and singers. Original choreographies include a jazzy dance set to music from “The Triplettes of Belville”; a modern rendition of the “Untouchables”; a humorous contemporary piece inspired by 1920s society pursuits of tennis, golf, swimming and acrobatics; a comical vignette called “The Audition”; Russian folk dancing; and dances with a Spanish flair set to music from “Carmen”.
Performances will be held on:
• Friday, June 8 at 7:30 p.m.
• Saturday, June 9 at 7:30 p.m.
• Sunday, June 10 at 2:00 p.m.
