Canton, Mass: May 2007: Humboldt Storage and Moving of Canton, Mass., greater Boston’s largest United Van Lines agent, will be celebrating “Van Operator Appreciation Week” from May 7 through the 11th. The week is set aside annually to recognize the difference and enormous impact van operators make in providing service to all customers that place their trust in Humboldt. On Friday May 11, at 4:00pm, the entire management team of Humboldt Storage and Moving will host a thank you barbeque for all van operators to show their appreciation for their dedication to the company and customers. Activities include The Money Mania Cash Box, a clear box where money is blown around. Van operators will get time to grab as much money as possible. There will also be fun strength tests for all operators to participate in.
Van operators will be treated to a variety of courtesies during the week as well.
Those include on Monday May 7, car detailing for van operators, Tuesday at 3:30pm a pizza party held by the customer service team, Wednesday, lunch delivered to Van Operators by management team. On Thursday, operators will be treated to a big breakfast and then free deep-tissue massages from 2:00-6:00pm and on Friday, the thank you barbeque.
Van operators must master a challenging role. They are essentially in business for themselves, operating in a mobile office. Many of United Van Lines van operators operate independently, driving across country, communicating via satellite technology, as well as processing all the paperwork a business would require. They are also, the face of United Van Lines and Humboldt Storage and Moving.
The approximately 5,700 van operators in the United Van Lines system represent the “heart of United’s ability to exceed its customers’ expectations,” said Jim Sullivan, general manager of Humboldt Storage and Moving. “This week will further increase awareness of the key role these individuals play in customer satisfaction and is also intended to strengthen the relationship between Humboldt and our van operators.”
