CS Odessa promotes using of mixed Macintosh and Windows environment

Odessa, Ukraine, May 10, 2007 – CS Odessa today announced major changes in its licensing policy. The manufacturer of ConceptDraw product line now allows a single user to work with both Windows and Macintosh versions of the software.

As it stands in new EULA a Single User License grants customers the right to use both Macintosh and Windows versions of the ConceptDraw products they purchase without the need to acquire an additional license. The users may install the software on one Macintosh and one PC computer, or on single computer with a cross platform environment, implying that only one person will be using the software at any given time. This change will not impact on the current pricing.

Another great change covers business usage of ConceptDraw products. For those who acquire a Single User License of the software for business purposes, and install it on a single stand-alone computer, CS Odessa states, that the primary user of the Software may also install it on either their portable or home computer, as long as the Software is not used on both computers concurrently, and with the permission of the business to do so. The license is tied to the name user.

“More and more people use laptops along with a desktop computer for their business purposes, and often computers have different operating systems. This results in a licensing issue for our customers: according to a typical license agreement to run on two platforms, they would need to purchase additional software licenses for their laptops. To support these people and promote the use of Windows along with Mac OS X our company has changed our licensing policy”, states Gregory Zhukov, CEO of CS Odessa.
