(SAVANNAH, GA) John Powers, President of Bottom Line Marketing, will speak at the May edition of the Entrepreneur "Food for Thought" series.

"Marketing on a Shoestring", will provide specific tools for businesses seeking maximum productivity from their promotional dollar. Targeting, placement, budgeting, creative media options, measurement and the "Eleven Immutable Commandments of Marketing" will be on the agenda.

Powers explains that businesses that excel at marketing understand the promotional continuum. It's critical to create your ideal customer template and find your best matches long before you begin the discussion of how to go after them. The best place to start is by dissecting your current customers. And while most companies look at revenue rankings to find their "top" clients, raw income is seldom the best indicator. Powers will focus on strategies that aim limited marketing dollars at preferred prey.

The event will be held on May 17 at Georgia Tech's Savannah Campus in room 126 of the PARB building. The session begins with a networking session at 11:30, followed by a free lunch and program at noon. Enlightened attendees will be dismissed at 1:00 sharp.

The "Food for Thought" series is a join effort between the Advance Technology Development Center of Savannah (ATDC) and The Creative Coast Initiative. It offers business development insights for both fledgling and established enterprises.
