May 06, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
Paper Craft encompasses Daly’s attempt to make objects out of poems and to read objects into poetry. The poems in the title section were written by folding various texts into craft objects. These are now available in an origami-sized square book as well as on printable pages (free online!) with instructions and marked with dotted lines indicating folds for making a “meta poem.”

Advance Reviews:

“In the domain of the digital, Catherine Daly gives us paper; in an age of speed, she gives us craft; in a moment of dematerialization, she gives us concrete; in Southern California, she gives us snow. Process is the key… . What remains … is pure poetry.” Kenneth Goldsmith

“… Paper Craft is a startling mélange of fragmentary discourses, each of which intersects English to form a snapshot of the moment meaning happens. … The gendered languages of science and papercrafting meet in this new, frankly feminist dictionary, setting off fireworks that illuminate as much as they dazzle.” Joshua Corey
