Rock Island, IL.- "Common Sense"($14.95)-Acheulean Publishing-May, 2007. Quad City poet C.G.Ferrel has just released his third book of poetry. "Common Sense" is a collection of short, crisp, thought provoking poems about a wide variety of subjects.Love, hate, life, and death all make an appearance in "Common Sense". It could be easily read. However, you'll want to take your time. Laugh, cry, learn, think, but most of all, sit back, relax, and enjoy the wit and wisdom.Ferrel was born in Iowa City, Iowa on July 29,1950. He earned a degree in Culinary Art in 1973. He studied Real Estate, Economics, Business Law, and Communications at Black Hawk College.
Mr Ferrel has worked as a Chef, Meat Cutter, Business Consultant, President (record company), Restaurant Manager, Septic Surgeon, and Construction Worker. He is currently a Member of Laborers' Union Local # 309 in Rock Island. He is also a real estate investor and an independent environmental researcher.
