Logan, who has written and directed four feature films including the cult “Exorcist” spoof “Repossessed” starring Leslie Nielsen and Linda Blair, and is currently developing a movie version of the 1960s TV comedy-western series “F Troop,” has created a unique educational experience for up and coming filmmakers. Logan will teach them all they will need to know to make and market a feature film – and he will do it in ONE DAY. Furthermore, he’s only charging $99.00 for this class. The”1-Day $99 Film School” idea had been brewing in Logan’s mind for several years. That is until he decided one night to buy the domain name (1DayFilmSchool.com) and “Just do it.”
Logan says the 8-hour class covers all aspects of filmmaking, from screenwriting, to casting, directing, editing, mixing, and ultimately distributing the film. “The class is all facts without the fat,” Logan offers, “which allows me to lay it all out in just one day.”
But Logan wanted to teach on his own terms – meaning in a comfortable and fun way. So, the class is held only twice a month (on every 1st and 3rd Saturday); he limits the class to 12 students; and, lastly, the class is held in his Studio City, CA residence. “I want it to be as friendly an environment as possible… heck, we even order pizza for lunch,” Logan says. However, not wanting to limit his offering to just locals, people from across the country can also experience this class via a “90-minute Phone Class” that Logan also offers at his 1DayFilmSchool.com site. And as far as the ridiculously low price of $99.00 for the class, Logan smiles. “Most film students will spend $50,000 and four years of their life in film school. I’d rather they spend $99 with me, get the same education, then spend the remaining $49,900 on their first movie.”
