April 2007 – A whole new experience awaits Canadian virtual assistants (VA) when they step inside the new Canadian Virtual Assistant Network website. CVAN has expanded and revamped its website with a fresh and upbeat look. Updated resources include an interactive forum, a mastermind group, and an expanded resource centre.

“Check out our community forum,” says Jamison, “it’s an interactive, networking community for members to share their experiences, knowledge and, expertise about the VA profession. There’s learning, mentoring, and supporting; what a great combination!”

CVAN was founded in January 2002 by veteran virtual assistant, Michelle Jamison, of MJVA along with the support of her team, Laura Sandham and Carol Ford. The website is devoted to the success and empowerment of Canadian virtual assistants. Following on this vision, Jamison saw a need to take the site a step further to re-affirm her passion for its members and the industry.

“By creating a fun and social community that is based on sharing, supporting and learning, we ensure the longevity and success of the virtual assistant profession in Canada,” says Jamison.
