Basic Vocab Debuts Their Day in the Sun

Miami, Florida US - May 07, 2005 – After much anticipation and steady buzz, Counterflow recording’s freshly signed group Basic Vocab has come out with their debut single “Our Day in the Sun.” Now in stores, BV looks to follow in the success of their previous feature on the B-Side of Counterflow’s last 12” with Ras Kass, Pharoahe Monch and Hi-Tek. The sound of BV’s new single can only be described as a unique blend of soulful/heavy hip-hop, reminiscent of old school inspirations. 4 x platinum and BMI song of the year winning producer Tony Galvin laces the beat while JL Sorell and Mental Growth lay down the lyrical vocals.

Basic Vocab is set to release their debut LP “The General Dynamic” on Counterflow Recordings later this year. Upcoming producer Square4 is also expected to lace the Basic Vocab LP with his signature sound. Dave Ghetto of Philly is the only feature noted at the moment. The next single “Sh*t Don’t Vibe” is due out Summer 2005.
