Hankscraft is a US company headquartered in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. Their factory in Suzhou was established in April, 2003 to produce motors, electronics and sub-assemblies. Hankscraft has been in business for over 50 years and has manufacturing plants in Reedsburg and Random Lake, Wisconsin.

Hankscraft’s new expansion means they can provide assembly services for American manufacturers looking for support in China. Hankscraft is capable of making many different types of products ranging from industrial controls to consumer appliances.
Joe Hennessy, Vice President of Hankscraft’s Global Manufacturing Group said, “Think about it, American companies working together in China makes sense. Our customers work with us here in the U.S. communicating in English, and enjoy lower Chinese manufacturing costs and the possibility of tapping into the Chinese market”.

Working with Hankscraft is an easy way to approach China. With bilingual engineers and project managers on staff, communication flows quickly and accurately between Hankscraft’s offices and customers. Many notable North American manufacturers have benefited from Hankscraft factories in both countries. Opening a factory in China has actually strengthened the entire business on both sides of the world. “Hankscraft has two factories in Wisconsin and intends to keep it that way. This isn’t about moving labor off-shore, this is about steering our business into a growing market. The Chinese market represents a wonderful potential for growth” Joe Hennessy said.
