San Francisco- World Tracker GPRS, the world’s first tracking device with real-time updates every 15 seconds, is now available from Tracking The World, a leading provider of GPS related technology.

Small enough to fit into the palm of a hand, World Tracker GPRS provides users with real-time updates every fifteen seconds via a direct GPRS data connection. Using detailed 3D maps from Microsoft and Google, users can pinpoint the location of the device anywhere in the world.

With Tracking the World’s optional hibernating battery pack, the World Tracker GPRS will operate for weeks completely unattended. The new battery pack significantly conserves battery power by using motion detection. Extending battery life up to 90 days, the pack requires rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, and automatically powers down after 5 minutes of sensing no motion.

“The World Tracker GPRS and hibernating battery pack combination is absolutely the most advanced tracking system available today,” said Gilbert Walz, co-owner of Tracking The World.

Only 4.37 inches long, Tracking The World’s motion-detecting battery pack is about half the size of its conventional counterparts when housed in its waterproof and crush-proof Pelican™ case.

The World Tracker GPRS and optional hibernating battery pack are available from any distributor of Tracking The World products. For more information, or to find a distributor near you, visit www.trackingtheworld.com.
