Kent Station and Centex Homes Team Up to Offer $3,800 in GRCC Scholarships

Kent Station, in partnership with Centex Homes, is excited to announce that its 2007 Dollars for Kent Scholars fundraiser was a huge success. Thanks to the 12 participating Kent Station restaurants and eateries and their guests, Kent Station and Centex Homes are together donating $3,800 in scholarship funds to assist two graduating Kent seniors who will be attending Green River Community College this fall. The scholarships will be awarded this summer after a review process of potential candidates is completed by the Green River Foundation and Kent Station.Kent Station and Centex Homes would like to thank the community for supporting local high school students who would otherwise not be able to attend college without financial assistance.
“We’re overwhelmed by the community’s response to Dollars for Kent Scholars,” says John Hinds, Kent Station’s general manager. “This is a great way to support local students, and we want to thank everyone who took the time to participate in the fundraiser.”
