LOPATCONG, NJ, April 2007 – The Architects Golf Club (Architects)—a semi-private facility designed for corporate or social occasions and only legacy golf course in New Jersey— announced today that it has hired former Marriott executives to expand and manage its hospitality business. Now that Architects has established itself as the nation’s only history lesson in golf course architecture, it is the ideal time to give emphasis to this other part of the business.
The new hires include Bill Colavito, general manager; Michael McMahon, director of sales and marketing; Robert Clark, director of golf operations; Rebecca Kling, vice president of food service operations and Mike Pichetto, vice president of culinary.
The expanded hospitality business includes a state-of-the-art 16,000 square foot clubhouse distinctly designed for corporate or social occasions. In addition to Thyme Restaurant and Bar—which offers upscale dining with indoor and outdoor seating—it also features banquet facilities for golf events, weddings, corporate or social functions; men’s and women’s locker rooms; private member lounge and a pro-shop.
“The new professional management team brings decades of combined experience in the hospitality industry to The Architects Golf Club,” said Larry Turco, owner, The Architects Golf Club. “They all have a client-focused mentality and are dedicated to attending to every detail by providing its customers with only the finest of cuisine and service, and a one-of-a-kind experience that will make them feel like they have their own personal country club for a day.”
