K2 will showcase its forthcoming platform, “BlackPearl,” April 17-19 in Boston at the AIIM Conference and Expo. The next-generation K2 software, “BlackPearl” extends business process management capabilities and gives developers and business users the tools to design, build and manage business process applications from reusable artifacts.
For the second year in a row, K2 will be hosted by the Microsoft booth. “BlackPearl” enhances and extends the Microsoft platform — including Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, InfoPath 2007 and Visio 2007 — helping customers derive significant value from existing software investments.
“We are really happy to be part of the Microsoft booth again at AIIM,” said Jeff Shuey, K2 global alliance director. “Last year we were one of the few partners showing Office 12 integration. This year we are on the verge of releasing ‘BlackPearl.’
“Our new platform is built to leverage the .NET 3.0 Framework — including Windows Workflow Foundation — Windows Communication Foundation and Windows Presentation Foundation — to make it easier for all levels of users to design, develop, and deploy advanced workflow and solutions and business process applications.”
K2 solutions will be featured in two conference sessions at the Microsoft booth. Del Monte Foods and Circle Lending will discuss their experiences with their K2 and Microsoft Office system implementations.
Several K2 partners, including Applied Information Systems, Meridio and BearingPoint will also share the Microsoft booth.
