Noted among the top Milwaukee fine dining restaurants, Heaven City Restaurant is proud to be chosen as the setting for The Sons of Union Veterans annual birthday celebration in honor of General John Gibbon on April 21, 2007.Limited seating is available for the public to join the members of Major John Gibbon Camp #4 of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War at a cost of $50 per person. Festivities will begin at 6:30pm with a complimentary wine reception followed by a four-course dinner specially prepared by Heaven City chef owner, Jimmy Wade, together with celebrity Chef Jerry Garcia.
Unlike any other Milwaukee area old style restaurants, Heaven City’s mystical and nostalgic atmosphere will provide a unique setting for this historical evening. A native of Virginia, Chef Wade will present an authentic menu fusing the North and the South with a tantalizing four-course dinner…
First Course: Chef’s Choice Appetizer
Second Course: Choice of house salad or soup of the day
Third Course: Choice of grilled tenderloin with a red wine demi-glaze, hazelnut encrusted pheasant, and pretzel encrusted Diver Sea Scallops
Fourth Course: Bourbon Pecan bread pudding with caramel sauce.
Dinner service will begin at 7pm. Following dinner, guest speaker and author, Marc Storch, will share his insights on the Iron Brigade and John Gibbon.
