Tidelands Bank Summerville Branch Celebrates New Building With Grand Opening

MT. PLEASANT, S.C.—Tidelands Bank, a full-service bank serving the coast of South Carolina, will relocate its Summerville branch from a temporary location to its permanent space at 1510 Old Trolley Road in early May. The branch, which offers five times the space as the current location, will hold its grand opening on May 7 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Open to the public, the celebration will feature live jazz entertainment and wine tasting. Local employees will also be on hand to answer customer questions. Additionally, throughout the first month of business, Tidelands Bank, a dedicated supporter of public education, will donate $25 for all personal accounts and $50 for all business accounts opened to support the Dorchester County Teacher of the Year Award and the school system’s academic awards.
At 5:30 p.m. on May 7, Summerville Mayor Berlin Myers will lead the ribbon cutting ceremony along with representatives from the Greater Summerville Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce. Afterward, Tidelands CEO Robert “Chip” Coffee will present a $1,500 check, the minimum the bank will donate from the opening of new accounts, to Dorchester County School Superintendent Joseph Pye and Dorchester County Assistant School Superintendent Barbara Stroble.
