Meridian Homes, a top 20 Atlanta builder based in Loganville, will announce the grand prize winner of its Meridian Home Giveaway contest, in which people registered at any of its new home communities through April 1, 2007. Formed in 1995, this builder sells more than 500 homes a year and has new home communities in seven metro Atlanta counties. In addition, Meridian Homes is now at the forefront in metro Atlanta
for building affordable active adult communities, with four such neighborhoods currently under
construction.
The official presentation will be April 17th at 9:00 a.m., and the winner will select either a brand new $200,000 home at any of Meridian Homes’ current 22 communities or a check for $150,000 cash.
Neely Manor, a new homes community being built by Meridian Homes in Covington, Ga. Directions: I-20 east to exit 84, GA 162/Salem Road. Go right on Salem Road, left on Fairview Road at the light. Continue two miles and take a right on Jack Neely Road. Proceed through a 3-way stop and Neely Manor will be a third mile down on the right.
Meridian Homes has given back to the local community in numerous ways, including the donation of several lots to Habitat for Humanity, building a Habitat home, donating land for a public park in Loganville, and helping to rebuild four homes recently damaged by arson in Village Place. Darrell McWaters, company president and founder, says he has always wanted to do something big to give back to customers and the community. Being a home builder, giving away a new home seemed the natural option.
OTHER: The actual drawing of the winner was held April 11th so the person could be notified and, if necessary, flown in from out of state and the official drawing was monitored by an independent accounting firm. The official, live home presentation will be made before the public and area media on April 17th. The winner was selected from more than 7,500 entries.
