Launch of WILI-S v5.0, WILI-MESH v5.0 and online hardware shop from WILIBOX

Kaunas, Lithuania – April 2007 — Recent release of WILI-S came along with WILI MESH v5.0 software platform, designed for hardware vendors to provide high performance single-to-multiple radio wireless mesh solutions for municipality, WISP, campus and enterprise networks.

New WILI Mesh software platform implements QoS supporting WMM within the whole wireless mesh network infrastructure, which enables WILIBOX customers to provide VoIP, multimedia and other latency sensitive services. The maximum speed increased up to 50 Mbps per single radio interface putting WILI-MESH among industry fastest wireless mesh products. In the event of neighbour mesh node failure self-healing time is less than 0.5 seconds. Over the air firmware upgradeability will allow WILI-MESH customers to upgrade to 802.11s as soon as it is finalised. WILI-S supports 4.9 GHz FCC security band and 900 MHz radios with 5/10 MHz channel widths. WILI GUI SKIN mechanism offers a quick OEM branding solution with a possibility of switching to different scenarios (access point, access controller, mesh node etc.). New WILI-S v5.0 is based on Linux Kernel v2.6.

Existing customers will be able to upgrade their WILI Mesh v4.0 software platform to v5.0 for free.
