The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Funds Autism Services at HeartShare

HeartShare Human Services of New York is proud to announce it has been granted $11,175 from The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation to support its school-holiday program for adolescents with autism.

HeartShare’s School Holiday Program offers enjoyable recreational outings to 15 teens, with door-to-door transportation and skilled, caring supervision on days when school is not in session. To expose participants to a wide variety of settings and social opportunities, trips include: horseback riding, the circus, bowling, roller skating, interactive museums, shopping, arcades, the aquarium, zoos, and sports events,

The school holiday program is a component of a continuum of services offered by HeartShare to meet the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. HeartShare provides residential services, adult day services, early childhood and school-age services, health services, service coordination, and various recreation programs, serving this diverse population throughout the lifespan.
