(Redondo Beach, CA, 2007) – The Translation Station, one of the nation's largest language firms specializing in legal documents, has created a special department to work with consumers and attorneys that need translation of immigration documents.

“From the day we began our business in 1991,” says Mélida Prado, Immigration Documents Manager at The Translation Station, “working with consumers and attorneys on immigration and other legal documents has been a major aspect of our activities. Our volume of business in this area is such where we now require the total commitment of a full department.”

The Translation Station’s Immigration Documents Department can offer translation services between English and 150 foreign languages. “Translation between English and Spanish represents the majority of our projects,” says Podesta. “Assembling a team of qualified translators that can satisfy the government’s demands is not an easy matter. There are many people who speak foreign languages, but only a very small percentage can serve as translators for legal situations. A single error by the translator can result in significant delays and additional expenses.”

Because The Translation Station understands the requirements of the government, the company also provides both Certifications for its translations, as well as Notary Public services.

“The Immigration Documents Department is part of a larger litigation support team,” Prado explains. “Over the past 16 years, The Translation Station has worked with hundreds of law firms on projects ranging from personal injury cases in local courts to international trade cases argued in front of the World Trade Organization. In addition the company works with a variety of governmental agencies, including: the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Department of Homeland Security, the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Defense, the Commerce Department, and even The White House.”

Founded in 1991, The Translation Station is a Southern California-based language and litigation support service. The company has worked with the majority of the nation’s 100 largest law firms, and its translations have been used by The While House, the International Trade Representatives when presenting to the World Trade Organization, and even by foreign law firms filing documents in the U.S.
