John Shomby, Director of Programming and Operations for Max Media of Hampton Roads explains the impetus for the CRB Radio Outreach; "I remember the first regional radio seminar I ever attended. I was excited at the prospects of learning and meeting some big names in the business. I left that first seminar with myriad ideas for my radio station, a deeper knowledge of radio AND a strong list of new broadcast friends and contacts. CRB Radio Outreach is designed to do just that for the smaller markets. Our first event will offer discussion on everything from developing your in-house talent to making your station sound bigger through imaging and syndication. We'll have very experienced managers here to share secrets of maximizing sales, including non-traditional sources of revenue like the Internet and cellular phone. There will be a few labels here to discuss ways to build a strong relationship between your station and the record companies."
Radio station personnel can register free of charge on-line at www.crb.org and click on the "CRB Radio Outreach" icon. Enrollment is limited so register soon! Hotel recommendations upon request.
