DATELINE: LYNN, MA… In support of New England Mountain Bike Association (NEMBA), Todson, the U.S. distributors of the world-renowned Topeak cycling accessories brand and OnGuard premier lock line is co-sponsoring the Lynn Woods Mountain Bike Adventure Series fundraising ride with Harpoon Brewery on Sunday, May 29th at the Lynn Woods Reservation, off Route 129 in Lynn, MA.

Presented by Dirt Rag Magazine, the first ride in this year’s Harpoon-Topeak Mountain Bike Adventure Series of six rides, Todson encourages mountain bikers to ride at Lynn Woods and experience some of the best mountain biking trails in all of New England in a fun atmosphere while raising money for a good cause. More than 300 riders participated in the 2004 Lynn Woods series. All proceeds from the Lynn Woods ride go to the Lynn Woods Rangers Fund, which will provide Lynn Woods rangers with additional financial support for the upkeep of Lynn Woods, which is the largest city-owned park in the U.S.

The cost of the ride is $10 for NEMBA members and $15 for the general public. Children under 15 years old ride free accompanied by a parent or guardian. Registration for the event is open from 9 to 11 a.m. and riding officially begins at 9 a.m.

All levels of riders are welcome to ride in this non-competitive series. There are marked trails for beginners as well as for seasoned mountain bikers, including a new, specially constructed technical trail. Riders will have an opportunity to pick up some great Topeak bike gear or one of OnGuard’s vicious, pick-proof locks, meet bike vendors, lead rides and choose from a number of other activities. After the ride, participants may kick back with friends, family and refreshments at Harpoon’s post-event party.
