CornerStone Telephone Opens New Office In Syracuse Market

CornerStone Telephone Company, an integrated communications provider, will open their newest regional office in Liverpool, NY on April 15. The office will host operations for sales, customer service, technical support and management, as well as house a next generation Class 5 softswitch to transmit integrated voice and data services. The VP3510 softswitch, purchased from MetaSwitch, will allow CornerStone to offer its customers new services that utilize Internet Protocol (IP) to route voice and data more efficiently. The company expects to employ 15-20 personnel and operations will be managed by John Zucco, newly named Regional Sales Manager.

As Regional Sales Manager, Mr. Zucco brings over 12 years of business sales experience, coupled with several years in retail operations. Most recently he was employed with Alternate Resources as a contract consultant for a variety of central New York businesses where his responsibilities ranged from introducing VOIP/SIP telephone systems to defining research and development of business practices for several clients. Prior to joining Alternate Resources, he served as a sales manager and account executive for Choice One Communications in Syracuse.

“Currently we service almost 600 businesses in the central New York region,” said Dan Yamin, CEO for CornerStone Telephone. “The time was right for us to open this facility to better serve our customer base, as well as expand our operations and the services we provide. Under John’s direction, we expect to see the business double by the end of 2007.”
