(Hudson, Ohio, USA / March 2007) – Radcom, a professional services consulting firm, recently promoted Alex Hamerstone to Associate Writer. Hamerstone started with Radcom two years ago as a sales associate, then moved into an operations position, and most recently has been an associate writer. In his new role, Hamerstone will work with multiple clients in the Northeastern Ohio region primarily as a Technical Writer and Graphic Designer. Hamerstone is also experienced at editing, copywriting, and web design. He has worked with numerous clients in many industries over the past two years, including manufacturing, hi-tech, medical, and retail. Prior to joining Radcom in 2005, Hamerstone was a commercial producer for Cleveland.Com where he honed his programming, graphic design, and writing skills.
“We’re lucky to have someone with such diverse skills who can evolve to meet the needs of a client-centered and progressive organization,” said Jill McCauslin, Radcom’s V.P. of Human Resources. “Alex has consistently shown he is ready and able to tackle new assignments, new technologies, and new clients. Now it’s time for him to go out to meet our clients and work with them one-on-one,” she added.
Angie Dianetti, Radcom’s V.P. of Operations noted that, “Alex has a quick wit and makes the office a more enjoyable place. He’s also very good at working with our professional services managers to meet our clients’ demanding needs, especially when it comes to graphics and illustrations.”
According to one of those managers, Rob Catalano, “Alex really earned this new position. I recently worked with him on a very complex writing job using an application which he had never used. Not only did he quickly learn how to use the new computer application, he also had to meet the exacting needs of both our client and a sub-contractor. They were very pleased with the results.”
In addition to working at Radcom, Hamerstone will soon earn his Bachelor of Science in Finance/Accounting from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio after having transferred from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland where he studied English. “I’m grateful that Radcom has not only allowed me to grow and expand my role with them, but also for encouraging me to get my degree and constantly update my skills. I feel that I’ve already earned a degree from having worked with Radcom for two years, let alone going to school in the evenings.”
Hamerstone is also grateful to Radcom for another very personal reason. Last year he met and married his new bride, Brandi, after she met him at the office to discuss catering of Radcom’s 10th anniversary celebration. They are expecting their first child later this year.
