The CA Championship, which finished with a victory for Tiger Woods this past weekend, provided The Blue at Doral the chance to showcase the hotel condominium, as more than 500 guests were welcomed through the sales center with refreshments, giveaways and complimentary tickets to the tournament. The Blue, a new resort hotel condominium being developed adjacent to the Blue Monster, capitalized on the opportunity to provide visitors the chance to experience three newly finished model suites, a studio, one and three-bedroom layout, to see firsthand the luxury lifestyle that is being offered to owners of The Blue. Guests also got a glimpse of the priceless, panoramic view of the course from the private balconies in each residence, as world famous golfers played through the 12th and 13th holes.
Exclusive sales and marketing efforts for The Blue are directed by Global Marketing Group (GMG), leaders in the business successfully marketing and selling real estate property across South Florida. Seth and Adam Kaufman, senior partners at Global Marketing Group, were both on hand during the week to welcome local and international buyers, brokers and VIP guests, including Don Shula.
“We have seen success in the past by opening our doors during tournaments on the Blue Monster, such as last year’s Ford Championship,” stated Seth Kaufman. “However, this was an overwhelming success for our sales team who made deals on more than a dozen units throughout the four day World Golf Championship. With the model residences now open, the level of luxury and amenities can speak for themselves. We sold 60% of The Blue in the first year when it was just a dirt lot. Now that construction is nearing completion and there are physical buildings in place, we are confident in the successful sale of the remaining residences prior to the development’s completion.”
After last week’s success at The Blue, there are currently just 80 of the 240 suites still available, with prices ranging from the $550,000s to $1.5 million.
The Blue broke ground in summer 2006 and is on track to deliver the first finished buildings by June of this year. The full hotel condominium will complete construction by the end of 2007 at which time the hotel will officially launch. The 15 freestanding, three-story buildings, are situated alongside the 12th and 13th fairways of the famed Blue Monster golf course and are reminiscent of Old Florida style manor houses, each housing 16 elegantly appointed and fully furnished suites.
“While we hear about the saturated market and other condo hotel projects in South Florida failing, we continue to move along steadily with sales. There’s no secret or magic trick behind it, no smoke and mirrors, it’s simply the uniqueness of the product. The Blue is not your average high rise hotel or condo, it’s a one of a kind living experience. There will be no other opportunity to own real estate in this exclusive location and people appreciate that,” Kaufman said.
The Blue is among the latest developments to break ground in Doral, a community that has become one of the hottest spots for progress in the county. Although the city of Doral remains an oasis from the fast lane, it offers the best of both worlds, in that it is ten minutes away from Miami International Airport, fifteen minutes to the downtown/Brickell financial district and allows easy access to the beaches, dining, shopping and nightlife of South Beach, Coconut Grove and the Florida Keys. The Blue at Doral is being developed by Blueview Golf Villas, LLC, a partnership between the Kaufman Organization and Blue Doral Baklot, LLC. Exclusive marketing and sales is being handled by the Global Marketing Group.
