Focused Technologies Partners with Northeast Career Planning and Designated as Preferred Source by NYSID

Company Moves from Schenectady County Community Business Center to 2,500 sq feet Office in Menands with Secure Storage and Warehouse Facilities for Documents

MENANDS, NEW YORK – Focused Technologies, a rapidly growing document management company that develops software and scans paper documents for its customers, has struck a partnership with Northeast Career Planning (NCP), the Capital Region’s #1 permanent placement agency.

As part of their agreement, Focused Technologies, which was founded in 2001, has moved from the SCCBC incubator at 920 Albany Street in Schenectady to space owned by Northeast Career Planning at 279 Broadway in Menands. Focused Technologies employs people with disabilities and the partnership with NCP gives them instant access to an important labor pool. NCP will also market Focused Technologies’ offering throughout the 11 county service area that they service.

Because they employ people with disabilities, the company successfully sought designation as a preferred source vendor by the New York State Industries for the Disabled, Inc. (NYSID). The designation gives New York State governmental entities the ability to procure with Focused Technologies without issuing an RFP. The company recently landed a contract working with the NYS Comptroller’s Office where they have been selected to convert paper records into digital images.

In addition to their extensive work for the state, municipalities, and school districts, Focused Technologies’ diverse client list includes MasterCard International, Siena College, and the United States Department of Agriculture.
