Essential Kauai Announces Its Second-Annual Photo Contest

Lihu‘e, Hawaii March 26, 2007 — Essential Kauai, Kaua‘i’s premier visitor publication, announces the kick off its popular annual photo contest. Visitors are being encouraged to submit their favorite shots from their time on Kaua‘i in the following categories: Beaches, Scenic, People, Nature, and Any Kine Aloha (everything else).

First, second and third place winners will receive select prizes and be published in Essential Kauai’s special July / August photo issue, as well as online at www.essentialkauai.com.

“The response to last year’s photo contest was overwhelming,” said Mark Lewis, President and Publisher of Kaua‘i Publishing Company. “We received hundreds of photos shot by visitors from around the world. We’re confident that this year’s contest will produces just as many amazing photos.

“It’s a great opportunity to interact with our many readers and showcase this fantastic island we call home,” said Lewis.

Contest submissions are currently being accepted via e-mail to photocontest@essentialkauai.com and post at Essential Kauai, P.O. Box 231, Lihu‘e, Kaua‘i, HI, 96766.
