ME Productions Receives 2007 Creative PR Olympics Merit Award

(March 2007) – FL –ME PRODUCTIONS, an award-winning event production and destination management company and the company’s publicist, Linda Hamburger, were recognized by the South Florida Association for Women in Communications (AWIC) as recipients of the 2007 Creative PR Olympics Merit Award. Public Relations Consultant Linda Hamburger, owner of On Call PR, assisted ME Productions in an extensive summer props and décor giveaway to schools and non-profit organizations that could use them. Over 11 South Florida organizations received items that would otherwise have gone to waste and instead have renewed “lives” as items for use by theater and school groups.

The PR Olympics Awards recognizes five winners for conducting the best and brightest PR campaigns in South Florida. The Merit Award is presented for campaigns in recognition of thinking “out of the box” to create a unique and successful communications campaign that generated positive exposure to a target audience, met the goals of the organization and helped raise its image in the community.

“All the major South Florida newspapers were very supportive in helping us get the word out,” said Hamburger of the campaign. “I also used some unique channels to reach out to area organizations about the special opportunity such as Craigslist and community news blogs,” she added.
The annual Creative PR Olympics competition, sponsored by Maroone, an AutoNation Company, is open to all South Florida communications professionals. Each participant gives a 10-minute presentation on his most creative and successful publicity effort. The audience votes on the winners and awards are presented after lunch.
