BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - March 22, 2007 - WebApps, Inc., a leading provider of Software as a Service (SaaS), with a major push in Time and Labor Management, will be exhibiting at SaaScon 2007, a software industry event with a theme focused around 'moving business online' through the SaaS delivery model. The event will take place in Santa Clara, CA on April 17-18. WebApps will be located at booth number 419 at this premier event for the SaaS community.SaaScon is a central meeting place for SaaS providers and offers business and technical professionals the opportunity to learn more about the delivery model and how it can benefit their organizations. Attendees will have the chance to hear keynote speakers from a variety of SaaS providers as well as participate in voluntary breakout sessions focused on key areas of concern, such as specific industry solutions, data security, and other areas.
"We chose to participate in SaaScon as an exhibitor to showcase our SaaS platform and suite of online labor management tools as well as exchange information with industry peers," said Bill Loss, CEO of WebApps, who will be attending the event. "Being one of the organizations which aim to educate the public on this valuable method of software delivery is important to us, and there’s a lot to be learned."
WebApps, registered under the popular domain name SaaS.com, focuses on two distinct lines of business in the SaaS arena. The first leverages a pre-existing set of HR/Payroll centric applications developed internally that are marked and supported through a network of payroll service bureaus, human resource outsourcing firms, system integrators, and professional employer organizations (PEOs). Software functionality includes time and expense reporting, employee scheduling, benefit entitlements, and activity based costing. Second, by utilizing an existing software platform, WebApps helps enterprise clients migrate over to a SaaS delivery platform if they have an existing client-server application, a service that would be delivered more effectively over the Internet, or the need to expand the scope of an existing web application. Core components such as workflow, security, a business rules engine, and a report writer are coupled with a user organization’s specific domain experience and proprietary data to deploy a complete SaaS solution.
