National Baseball Scouts Survey North Carolina Hopefuls
MVP Baseball Offers North Carolina High School Students A Path To The Pros

Raleigh, NC – On Sunday, April 1, high school baseball student athletes are invited to Knightdale High School in Knightdale, North Carolina, to showcase their baseball skills and be evaluated against other high school athletes around the country. The free event run by MVP Baseball, is open to the public and aimed at selecting the nation’s top high school players for the most competitive and highly scouted tournaments in the country.

Beginning at 10 a.m., participating players and their parents will have the opportunity to attend an educational presentation on college recruiting. MVP Baseball staff will discuss the main components of the college and pro recruitment process and answer any related questions. Following the presentation, the players will participate in a pro-style workout designed to gauge the level of talent, athleticism and future potential of each athlete. MVP coaches will provide valuable training tips to each player during the tryout.

Participating players will be evaluated against their peers by a staff of seasoned professional coaches including Jeff Holly, former major league player, and five-time national championship coach, Gary Ridge. Players will be judged on a variety of baseball abilities including arm strength, hitting, pitching, and defensive skills, as well as their overall athletic skills.

“The MVP Baseball program is a unique and highly beneficial experience,” says Harry Grumet, general manager and national championship coach of MVP Baseball. “Our incredible coaching staff provides each player expert instruction and pro player knowledge that will separate them from the competition.”

After the try-out session, participating players will have the opportunity to view their individual evaluations and tool ratings on the MVP Baseball Web site at www.mvpbaseball.net. Players’ tryout stats are categorized and ranked by grade and position, to show a true player rating. Due to MVP’s renowned reputation, these statistics are regularly accessed by college coaches and professional scouts as a beneficial recruitment tool.

To register for the April 1st event, visit the MVP Baseball Web site at www.mvpbaseball.net. Limited space is available. Registered participants should be present at Knightdale High School by 9:30 a.m. on April 1st and must be accompanied by a parent.
