MsgAPI allows developers to easily access Outlook .msg files in their applications

Encryptomatic LLC today announced the release of MsgAPI, an API for software developers that allows them to easily include Outlook .msg file management functionality in their applications.

With MsgAPI, developers can access the contents of Outlook .msg files, display email message contents, search messages, or extract email file attachments.

MsgAPI provides much of the same functionality of Encryptomatic’s MSGViewer Pro .msg file viewer, which is used by major corporations and governments, as well as individual users for email archiving, legal discovery, providing shared access to archived emails in a Citrix or Terminal Services environment, and for easily managing directories with blended .msg and .eml email files.

MsgAPI provides developers with access to:
-Sender information
-Message Body
-Message Properties
-Message Header
-Message Subject
-Message To, From, CC
-Message Date
-Attachment Access (number of attachments, and save to file)
-Export to XML
