Lawrence, KS, March 2007- Absorbent, Ink., a Lawrence-based promotional products company, has announced the appointment of Scott Wenzel as director of sales. Wenzel will create and build the sales department for Absorbent, Ink., which has been primarily an online-based business since its beginning in 2000.“The promotional products industry is an $18 billion dollar industry. We've experienced tons of growth the last several years through our online business and are now ready to expand efforts to direct sales and bring our expertise to local and regional markets to help businesses grow,” said Lee Eldridge, co-founder and president of Absorbent, Ink. “We are very excited to have Scott on board to set up our new sales department. His experience and background will allow us to hit the ground running.”
A recent study conducted at Louisiana State University and the University of Texas at San Antonio found the use of a promotional product over television and print ads achieved maximum impact, up to 69% increasing brand interest and 84% in creating a good impression of the brand. According to Wenzel, the statistics hold true, "Promotional products are one of the most effective AND cost efficient means of promoting a brand. From inexpensive giveaways to sophisticated, thoughtful corporate gifts, Absorbent, Ink., has the product expertise tied to the experienced advertising and media background of our parent company, PilgrimPage, Inc., to become a trusted partner for your growing businesses."
